The Camino Prime is a Spanish slate quarried in the highly regarded La Baña region of Northern Spain. It has a distinctive Hebra riven texture and blue/black colour which along with it`s characteristic longitudinal grain and flat, consistent thickness make it a popular choice for roofing contractors, self-builders and Architects.

The Camino Prime is available in a heavy 7/9mm thickness and a 16 x 10 (400x250mm) size.

The Camino slate has met or surpassed the strictest testing requirements and has achieved the highest classification in all quality standards. It is (NF228) Norm Francais certified, carries the CE marking, has been tested in accordance with EN 12326 and is classified as W1 - S1 - T1.

These are prime Grade slates and are of a higher quality and better selection than standard grade slates yet they always require effective sorting and grading prior to fixing. A well selected natural slate roof with prime grade slates that have been properly graded and sorted on site will have an even appearance which it will maintain over many decades.

Guarantee Camino Prime Natural Roofing slate is covered by a 50 year guarantee (Guarantees to be requested within 6 months of the date of completion of the roof) .

As you are choosing a natural product it is recommended to allow a 10% surplus when ordering your slates. This accounts for cutting, breakages and natural irregularities. This precaution ensures full coverage, consistency in appearance and will help prevent delays during the fitting process.
